Every publication under the sun has written about the upcoming April 29 nuptials of Prince William and Kate Middleton. And now it’s Overnight New York’s turn.

And why not? Weddings are fun. The timing is right. (That movie about William’s great-grandfather cleaned up at the Academy Awards.) And hotels here are getting into the act, even if New York seems a long leap from London.

In case you didn’t receive one of the 1,900 gold-leaf wedding invitations — neither did the Obamas or the Duchess of York — you can still watch the wedding at the Palace – the New York Palace Hotel, to be precise.  The midtown hotel is offering a wedding breakfast in the wood-paneled Drawing Room garnished with carvings and twin fireplaces in the historic Villard House wing.

With flat-screen TVs throughout the room broadcasting the event live, an English breakfast will unfold, including scones with marmalade, scrambled eggs with Devonshire cream and breakfast bangers.

The sit-down event, complete with place cards, printed menus and commemorative wedding favors (scented candles with an embossed crown logo) will begin at – yikes! — 5:30 am with coffee and tea and conclude at 8 am with a champagne toast. The early risers will also receive Palace slippers to take home, all at a price fit for a king — $150 a person.  Guests wishing to spend the night and awaken on the premises – or dash back to a king-size bed for additional shut-eye — can reserve a Superior room for $299.

Breakfast with the royal wedding party is also on offer across the park via the miracle of flat-screen television at the Trump International Hotel & Tower New York. The event, organized by the hotel’s British-born general manager, Suzie Mills, begins with a night in a guest room newly designed by Ivanka Trump — choose either a Central Park view ($1,425) or city view ($1,075). At 5 am, the focus shifts downstairs to the hotel’s sophisticated Jean Georges restaurant, where a sybaritic tasting breakfast appears replete with scrambled eggs with caviar, mini-French toast and pains au chocolat. Guests will toast the newlyweds with Mimosas.

When the festivities end at 9 am, guests can hit town or return to their rooms (a 4 pm check-out stretches the day).  As a keepsake, each guests goes home with a piece of Royal Wedding china commissioned by the Royal Collection.
