Feeling French? But of course. It’s perfect storm time — the Tour de France (July 4-26), Bastille Day (July 14) and French Restaurant Week (July 13-19) rolled into one big week, with a few bits extending beyond. Here’s where to go if you’re in a Blue, White and Red mood in Midtown.
Haven Rooftop Planted on the roof of the Sanctuary Hotel near Times Square, Haven Rooftop celebrates Bastille Day with a $49 three-course, French-inflected dinner (Eiffel Tower of Tuna Tartare, Poulet or Steak au Poivre, Creme Brulee a Paris, you get the idea) and a buy-a-bottle-of-Champagne-get-a-second-bottle-half-price deal for $125. (Toast liberte, egalite, fraternite with a $17 glass of of Moet Chandon Brut & Moet Chandon Rose).

Triomphe Restaurant The Iroquois Hotel New York’s chic French Triomphe Restaurant near Times Square is one of two hotel restaurants among the 39 French eateries celebrating French Restaurant Week with “revolutionary priced” prix fixe menus. For $17.89, you get a Pink Eiffel (Stoli raspberry, Stoli cranberry, St. Germain, lemon) and a choice of a nibble (classic escargots or duck rillettes with toasted baguette). $35.78 brings a glass of French wine and three courses like chilled vichychoise, rainbow trout stuffed with ratatouille and chocolate and praline mousse. And $178.90 pulls out all the stops with a champagne toast, bottle of French wine, an amuse bouche and a choice of three courses like lobster bisque, chicken roulade with Brooklyn Summer Ale and lemon sauce and fresh berry millefleurs.

Gaby Brasserie Français Executive chef Sylvain Harribey, who learned to cook in his native Bordeaux, celebrates French Restaurant Week with a trio of imaginative menus at Sofitel New York’s wildly French-inflected brasserie Gaby. For $17.89, a glass of Riesling is paired with Foie Gras au Torchon, marinated with cognac, and served with ginger marmalade and grilled country bread. The $35.78 three-course includes choices like yellow tomato mozzarella gaspacho, steak frittes with trouffle butter and baby kale and apricot clafoutis. And the $178.90 showstopper, available for two, pairs wines with choices like petite tuna Niçoise, filet mignon with herb-coated fingerling potatoes and roasted grape tomatoes and Canellés Bordelais with fig compote and pistachio ice cream.
